Strange 1920s Death on the Scottish Island of Iona

Over 90 years after the body of Nora Emily Fornario was discovered lying near a fairy mound covered in tiny scratches, mysteries still swirl around her and her strange death.

Let’s look at the facts:

She was a member of the Hermetic Order of the Golden Dawn. She was an officer in a Co-Masonry lodge in London, which dedicated themselves to “learning ancient magical rites, going into meditative trances, summoning spirits and demons, and participating in intricate ceremonies that could last for days.” She was on Iona precisely to make contact with the supernatural through magic rituals. Her own family was too afraid to claim her body.

Fairies are known to inhabit power centers across Scotland and Britain as a whole. They are capricious and easily offended. This is just one more story of what happens to people who piss off the fairies.
